Job summary

biBerk is seeking enthusiastic Claims Intake professionals to join our growing team. This role involves handling inbound and outbound calls related to workers’ compensation, liability, and other commercial lines, with a focus on accurate information gathering and client service.

Shifts available: 8:00 - 4:30 PM CST. The company offers a comprehensive benefits package and a starting pay range of $20–$24 per hour, with final compensation based on qualifications and location.

Qualifications

• General understanding of insurance coverage and claim types.
• Detail oriented with strong spelling, punctuation, grammar.
• Compassionate, patient, and professional demeanor.
• Basic computer knowledge and ability to use multiple screens.

Responsibilities

• Answer inbound calls from claimants, attorneys, vendors, brokers, TPAs, and agents.
• Make outbound calls to obtain additional information for claims.
• Receive and record potential claims by phone and email.
• Research requested information and provide accurate responses per protocol.
• Complete call notes and update them in the Claims systems.
• Route calls to appropriate team members and departments.
• Escalate customer concerns as needed.

We are looking for enthusiastic Claims Intake professionals to join and grow with our team!

Requirements

Job Responsibilities

• Regularly answer calls in a timely, positive manner and provide exceptional customer service
• Receive inbound calls from claimants, attorneys, vendors, brokers, Third Party Administrators and agents in regard to claims
• Make outbound calls, when necessary, to policy holders, claimants, and adjustors accordingly to obtain additional information for claim submission
• Receive and record potential claims by phone and email
• Research requested information using available resources and provide accurate and detailed information regarding all inquiries, based on protocol
• Complete call notes and call reports as necessary and update them within the Claims’ Systems, recording details of comments, inquiries, complaints, and actions taken
• Route calls to other team members and departments when necessary
• Escalate customer concerns as needed

• A general understanding of insurance coverage (e.g. claimant and type of claim, etc.)
• Must be detail oriented, paying special attention to spelling, punctuation, grammar, and information
• Must be compassionate, patient, and professional
• Must have basic computer knowledge – using multiple screens and systems

In accordance with pay transparency laws and regulations, the following good faith starting compensation is being provided. The starting compensation for this position is $20-24/hr. Final compensation will be based on candidate qualifications, geographic location, and other considerations permitted by law.
