Oliver James is partnering with a leading U.S. insurer to hire a Claims Director for its professional lines team. The role will oversee mid-to-high value EPL and D&O claims, including litigation and coverage matters, and requires strategic adjudication, client communication, and settlements.

Oliver James is working with a leading insurance carrier that is looking to hire a Claims Director for their professional lines team. You will be responsible for a portfolio of mid to complex EPL and D&O claims including litigation and coverage matters.

Primary Role Duty:

To manage a caseload of EPL and D&O claims including mid/higher value cases involving litigation. To ensure ongoing adjudication of claims within service expectations, industry best practices and specific client service requirements; and negotiate settlements.

Skills/ Qualifications Required:

• 4+ years handling EPL and/or D&O claims for an insurance carrier -Private or Public D&O considered
• Exposure to other professional lines claims beneficial
• Experienced within coverage, litigation and complex claims matters
• Experience managing client / customer relationships
• Strong educational background - JD Law preferred

This role is hybrid from NYC, NJ, CT, PA or other US locations (2-3 days in office per week only) with an excellent base salary up to $176,000 + 15% bonus and benefits, along with a clear progression plan for the future.
