Qualifications

• Two years of experience in customer relations and/or claims activities.
• Strong communication, negotiation and math skills.
• Industry certification at the CAS level.

Responsibilities

• Process and resolve claims concerning customer dissatisfaction with products.
• Receive claims calls from customers.
• Establish and maintain claims files.
• Investigate claims requests and determine responsibility for the problem.
• Advise appropriate departments and sales partners of filed claims.
• Enter and update related data into the computer system.
• Undertake further research and prepare written correspondence.
• Follow up with parties involved and discuss problems with outside suppliers or internal associates.
• Collaborate with sales partners, customers and others to determine responsibility.
• Negotiate charge reductions or credits and discounts with vendors.
• Follow through until rerun ships or credit is received.
• Offer solutions to satisfy customers and maintain relationships.
• Prepare debit/credit memos and revised billings for claims, and prepare new orders for replacements.
• Coordinate shipping information and processing of costs involved; recalculate sales and commissions.
• Perform routine clerical duties and other duties as assigned.
