Job summary

Ardán, Inc., A Community of Companies seeks a Claims Counsel to handle title insurance and related claims. The role requires clear written and verbal communication, meticulous organization, and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.

You will investigate coverage, manage outside counsel, negotiate resolutions, and participate in mediations and court appearances. Strong knowledge of property and insurance law is preferred.

Qualifications

• Self-starter, detail-oriented and organized with strong verbal and written communication.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced team environment.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Advanced proficiency in Word, Outlook, Excel.
• Licensed and in good standing (any jurisdiction acceptable).

Responsibilities

• Investigate, evaluate and determine coverage and possible claim resolutions.
• Determine need to retain outside counsel; manage claims and/or litigation to final resolution.
• Negotiate with claimant / opposing counsel / third parties for resolution.
• Participate in mediations and other required court appearances.
• Review and approve invoices for costs and attorneys' fees.
• Perform and assist in initial evaluation for recovery.
• Maintain documentation of claim file activity.
• Evaluate and respond to clearance / curative demands.
• Other activities/projects as assigned.
