Job summary

Divers Alert Network is seeking a Claims Coordinator to oversee and efficiently process member benefit and insurance claims. You will collaborate with insurance carriers, members, and healthcare providers to ensure timely and accurate claim handling.

In this hybrid role, you will verify coverage, calculate benefits, coordinate with stakeholders, and prepare claim recommendations for carriers. The position includes on-call support and opportunities to pursue subrogation when applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 5 years claims/customer service experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong verbal and written communication, including phone etiquette.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and detail orientation.
• Ability to obtain/maintain required insurance licensing (training provided).

Responsibilities

• Verify coverage and calculate benefit payments; communicate determinations.
• Review and validate claim submissions for accuracy and compliance.
• Coordinate with members, adjusters, and stakeholders for documentation.
• Prepare and submit claim documentation to carriers.
• Provide 24-hour emergency benefit verification support on on-call.
• Pursue subrogation opportunities with third-party carriers.
