Job summary

All Allied World is seeking a Claims Specialist to investigate, evaluate, and resolve insurance and reinsurance claims across multiple lines of business. You will engage in collaborative projects with underwriting, finance, accounting, actuarial, operations, and technology teams to deliver high-quality service.

You will manage a vigorous caseload, analyze coverage, establish reserves, and support litigation and settlements with brokers, insureds, and defense counsel.

Qualifications

• University degree is required or equivalent.
• Excellent communication skills and independent work style.
• Strong writing and organizational skills.
• Strong negotiation skills and technical writing experience.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and interact with all levels inside and outside of the Company.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Knowledge of claims, legal and coverage issues across jurisdictions.
• Compliance with multi-state adjuster licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, evaluate, and resolve insurance/reinsurance claims across multiple lines of business.
• Manage vigorous caseloads and analyze claims across lines of business.
• Verify coverage and establish reserves, including ACRs where needed.
• Draft coverage correspondence and verify financial information for payments.
• Interact with insureds, brokers, and defense counsel in litigation and settlements.
• Collaborate with underwriters on renewals and accounts; liaise with other departments.
