Zusammenfassung

Allied World is seeking an Environmental Claims specialist to efficiently manage a diverse portfolio, analyze coverage, and draft precise coverage positions. The role involves coordination with counsel, underwriters, and management on settlements and litigation strategy.

You will establish reserves, report trends, and collaborate across underwriting, finance, actuarial, and operations to support project needs. Travel to meet clients/brokers is expected.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum of 2 years handling Environmental claims, or background as an Environmental Consultant/Engineer with on-site clean-up and work plan proposal evaluation experience.
• Four-year college degree is required.
• Knowledge of claims, legal and coverage issues in all U.S. jurisdictions. Excellent negotiation and communication skills. Strong technical skills and writing experience. Proficient with Microsoft Office products, internet research.
• Ability to analyze coverage, draft coverage position letters and interact with counsel regarding litigation and coverage strategies, negotiate and resolve claims.
• Compliance with multi-state adjuster licensing requirements.
• Some travel required.

Aufgaben

• Efficiently manage a vigorous load of claims involving a broad spectrum of accounts and coverages.
• Establish timely and appropriate reserves and regularly report claim developments and trends to claims and underwriting management.
• Work with underwriting, finance, actuarial, operations and technology on projects; prepare claim summaries and executive reports.
• Meet with existing or prospective clients and brokers; attend relevant industry conferences/meetings.
