Job summary

Wawa, Inc. is seeking a Claims Professional to manage a book of workers’ compensation and liability claims from a corporate Risk Management hub.

You will serve as the primary liaison with TPA adjusters, oversee claim handling, and ensure timely, compliant closure within SOPs. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 2–4 years of claims experience, with strong analytical, communication, and customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or preferred in Risk Management, Finance, Criminal Justice or related field.
• 2-4 years working in worker’s compensation or liability insurance claims environment.
• Proficient use of multiple systems to review adjuster notes and run loss reports.
• Expert usage of Microsoft Office (M365).

Responsibilities

• Act as the Main Point of Contact (MPOC) for TPA Adjusters and oversee claim handling.
• Review materials to determine the level of Risk Exposure and proper actions to close claims.
• Escalate complex claims to Senior Management when needed.
• Set/Approve settlements and reserves within authority; escalate as needed.
• Attend arbitration, mediation, or trials and coordinate with legal counsel as needed.
