Job summary

Potelco Inc., a subsidiary of Quanta Services, seeks a Claims Administrator to join the Sumner, WA team. You will handle insurance claims from intake to resolution, ensuring accuracy and compliance in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires one year of claims experience, solid communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Bachelor’s degree and utilities knowledge are preferred; you will coordinate with field managers to gather documentation and maintain organized files.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of claims experience in a business environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal.
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, and Access).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks concurrently.
• Ability to manage multiple competing deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Receive, investigate, and process damage claims including property, auto, utility lines, etc.
• Draft correspondence regarding the release of claim, payment requests, subrogation demands, and denial letters.
• Communicate via phone and email to help gather missing information and support documents.
• Work closely with Base Managers, General Foreman, and Superintendents to process damage claims in an organized and timely manner.
• Record utility line damage to Common Ground Alliance.
• Maintain accurate files with correspondence and all supporting documentation.
• Update claimants, customers, and bases on the status of the claim through the review process.
• File documents for small claims court proceedings.
• All other duties as assigned.
