Potelco, Inc., a subsidiary of Quanta Services, is seeking an Electrical Professional Engineer in Sumner, WA. The role spans office and field work, leading power systems projects to support grid modernization and decarbonization initiatives.

Requirements include 5+ years in construction/utilities, a PE license, and a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering. Travel may be required; strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in the construction or utilities industry.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Electrical Engineering.
• Ability to write business correspondence and communicate effectively.
• Must be willing to travel, short-term.
• Ability to present information to managers, clients, and agencies.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Must pass drug and alcohol screening.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Lead power systems projects to modernize the electric grid.
• Manage distribution and substation construction/maintenance projects.
• Coordinate with owners, subcontractors, and engineers to resolve issues.
• Ensure projects meet deadlines and applicable codes and requirements.
• Mentor junior engineers and perform other duties as needed.
