CBCS, a division of Cottingham & Butler, is growing its Workers’ Compensation team and seeks Claims Administrators to learn and manage medical-only WC claims from start to finish.

No insurance experience? Training is provided; we value dependable, eager-to-learn individuals who communicate well and handle multiple tasks in a professional office environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a professional setting with strong attention to detail, organization, and communication.
• You should be comfortable managing multiple priorities, navigating documentation, and working independently or as part of a team.
• Prior claims or insurance experience is a plus but not required; training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of medical-only Workers’ Compensation claims from start to finish.
• Review and evaluate medical-only claims to understand what occurred.
• Communicate with injured workers, medical providers, and clients.
• Document claim activity accurately following CBCS Best Practices.
• Make timely decisions within authority to resolve claims efficiently.
• Submit required state EDI filings and support Medicare compliance.
• Identify when a claim should be upgraded for further investigation.
• Evaluate potential subrogation opportunities and escalate when appropriate.
• Meet performance benchmarks for contact, reserving, and claim closure.

Responsibilities
As a Claims Administrator, you will manage a caseload of medical-only Workers’ Compensation claims from start to finish. Your core responsibilities include:

• Reviewing and evaluating medical-only claims to understand what occurred
• Communicating with injured workers, medical providers, and clients
• Documenting claim activity accurately and consistently following CBCS Best Practices
• Making timely decisions within your assigned authority to resolve claims efficiently
• Submitting required state EDI filings and supporting Medicare compliance
• Identifying when a claim should be upgraded for further investigation or lost‑time consideration
• Evaluating potential subrogation opportunities and escalating when appropriate
• Meeting performance benchmarks for contact, reserving, and claim closure

We’re seeking individuals with experience in a professional setting who bring strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills. You should be comfortable managing multiple priorities, navigating documentation, and working both independently and as part of a team.Prior claims or insurance experience is a plus but not required. We provide training on the technical aspects of the role. More importantly, we’re looking for individuals who are dependable, motivated, and eager to build a long-term career in a high-performance environment.
