Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience in a Commercial Lines agency.
  • Must hold or be willing to earn Property & Casualty insurance license.
  • Industry designations such as ARM, CIC, CPCU preferred.

General Description:

Manage 20 to 40 mid-to-large sized Commercial Lines insurance accounts as the day-to-day client contact. Activities include new and renewal marketing, fielding questions and requests, and coverage review. Assist Sales Executives and Account Executives.

Responsibilities:
  1. Provide proactive, personalized support to assigned Commercial Lines clients.
  2. Provide insurance technical expertise to clients and other members of the Account Management team.
  3. Responsible for marketing and placement of client Commercial Lines insurance renewals.
    • Assist in preparing client applications for review.
    • Determine most-appropriate carriers for market pricing.
    • Analyze and compare carrier quotes and coverage offerings.
    • Make insurance program recommendations to clients.
  4. Manage client renewal expirations and prevent coverage lapses.
  5. Negotiate with carriers on behalf of clients.
  6. Process policies, endorsements, and audits as needed.
  7. Champion client cross-selling initiatives and develop customer accounts.
  8. Represent client interests in internal USI account strategy meetings.
  9. Delegate administrative client tasks to assigned Account Representatives.
  10. Respond to underwriters’ questions promptly and professionally.
  11. Maintain high accuracy in agency management systems.
  12. Attend face-to-face client meetings regularly.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  1. 5+ years experience in a Commercial Lines agency; college degree preferred.
  2. Strong understanding of Property & Casualty insurance.
  3. Must hold or be willing to earn Property & Casualty insurance license.
  4. Industry designations such as ARM, CIC, CPCU preferred.
  5. Comfortable with internet-based programs and Microsoft Office products.
  6. Knowledge of Sagitta / ImageRight preferred but not required.
  7. Able to work in a fast-paced, team environment with minimal instruction.
  8. Stay informed about industry trends and technology.
