Job description

This position is remote but will require travel to various locations.

This position will be posted from April 17, 2025 - May 2, 2025

Reporting to the Director, Strategic Accounts, this position is responsible for managing strategic partner relations.

What will you do:

  1. Drive strategic growth with target customers and manage the vision and strategy to support $50,000,000 over a 5-year plan to aggressively grow our business.
  2. Develop and implement all aspects of regional growth in conjunction with, and according to, the overall corporate objectives.
  3. Establish a regional strategic sales plan with goals to meet corporate objectives.
  4. Prospect and develop new regional customer accounts.
  5. Be the source of local, domestic, and global market expertise and analysis.
  6. Work at the field level with customers conducting training, grower meetings, product demonstrations, and other activities to grow the business alongside customers.
  7. Present regional sales activity reports to management teams.
  8. Explore and present product portfolio options and solutions that encompass all Nutrien Ag Solutions product categories.
  9. Travel (40%) efficiently and effectively to customers, trade shows, conferences, and industry meetings.
  10. Lead, champion, and comply with Nutrien, industry regulatory, and Safety, Health, & Environment standards.
  11. Utilize and leverage available digital technologies to complete work accurately and efficiently.

What will you bring:

  1. Bachelor's degree or higher in agriculture, business, marketing, or a related field.
  2. At least 10 years of experience in increasing responsibility in sales, product management, customer experience, or a related field.
  3. Strong knowledge in key specialty crops, crop nutrition distribution, and go-to-market channels within the territory.
  4. Strong knowledge and background in the territory agriculture industry network, especially in fertilizers and nutritional products with emphasis on specialty crop/irrigated intensive cropping areas.
  5. Proven sales ability with a successful track record.
  6. Ability to work effectively with other groups to achieve common goals.
  7. The highest ethical standards and sense of accountability.
  8. Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  9. Clear and effective decision-making, with an emphasis on a data-driven approach.

Salary Range: $105,000 - $195,000/annually. This range is estimated for Senior Strategic Accounts Manager in Colorado, Illinois, and Minnesota. Actual salary and benefits may differ based on location.

In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for our annual incentive plan, where discretionary payouts depend on company and individual performance. Details will be discussed during the application process.
