Job summary

State of Ohio, Ohio State Highway Patrol, is seeking a LEADS Technical Security Auditor to conduct IT security audits of criminal justice agencies in accordance with FBI, CJIS and LEADS policies. This role involves gathering documentation, reviewing security controls, and developing remediation guidance to improve policy compliance and protect sensitive information.

Ideal candidates will have experience in information technology security within a criminal justice context, with strong knowledge

Qualifications

• 36 mos. combined work experience in IT in a single technology domain, incl. 12 mos. in Security Software & Hardware.
• Associate core program in computer science or information systems plus 18 mos. combined work experience.
• Undergraduate core program in computer science or information systems plus 12 mos. combined work experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct IT security audits of criminal justice agencies per FBI, CJIS & LEADS security policies.
• Gather documentation to execute audits and prepare pre-audit and audit materials.
• Review agency applications and security controls for policy compliance and access.
• Develop audit findings and remediation guidance; educate agency personnel on best practices.
• Issue, manage or revoke LEADS security sanctions for audit noncompliance.
