Job summary

Oregon State Police in Salem, OR seeks a Compliance Specialist 2 to support the CJIS Audit & Quality Control Programs, focusing on non-criminal justice users. You will develop documents, audit processes, and ensure user compliance while coordinating with staff and management to sustain program effectiveness.

The role involves investigating system misuse, presenting findings, and advising corrective actions. Preference given to candidates with CJIS policy knowledge and LEDS experience.

Qualifications

• Four years experience doing administrative research that included compiling and evaluating facts to recommend management action, or decide compliance with program guidelines and regulations.
• Two of the four years must be above the technical support level.
• Note: college-level course work may substitute for experience on the basis of 45-quarter units per year, up to a maximum of three years.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain program documents and audit functions to ensure user compliance in support of CJIS Audit & Quality Control Programs, especially for non-criminal justice users.
• Coordinate with audit and training staff and management to monitor and review the program’s effect.
• Investigate complaints of system misuse or other alleged violations, make findings of fact, and recommend corrective action.
• Represent the CJIS Division at meetings and user events.
