Job summary

Red Ox Construction is seeking a Civil Superintendent to lead field operations on various civil sites and ensure crews perform daily and weekly activities to meet production goals safely.

The role requires 5+ years in supervisory heavy civil construction, with experience in earthwork, utilities, concrete, bridges, and highways, and a proven ability to deliver projects on time and within budget. Travel is required, and competitive pay plus benefits are offered.

Qualifications

Red Ox Construction is seeking a Civil Superintendent to join the team! As the Civil Superintendent you will be responsible for leading field operations on various civil sites and ensuring that crew members under your direction perform daily and weekly activities to meet production goals safely.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all field operations from start to completion of the project.
• Coordinate labor, equipment, and materials according to schedule and plans.
• Delegate the necessary tasks to the crew.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations to keep crew safe.
• Inspect work progress and adjust plans to meet schedule demands.
• Communicate with project managers on schedule, budget, and concerns.

Qualifications and Skills

• 5+ years of experience in a supervisory role in heavy civil construction.
• Strong background in but not limited to earthwork, utilities, concrete, bridges, highways, etc.
• Proven ability to lead crews and deliver projects on schedule and within budget.
• Strong understanding of construction scheduling, sequencing, and cost control.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and project documents.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work outdoors full-time in active construction environments.
