We're partnering with a leading civil/site development contractor that delivers large-scale projects across the Atlanta and wider Georgia market. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of work, they're looking to add an experienced Civil Superintendent to their team.
This role will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day field operations on civil construction projects, coordinating subcontractors and crews, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on schedule, and to a high standard.
What You'll Be Doing
- Oversee day-to-day field operations across active civil/site development projects
- Manage and coordinate subcontractors, crews, equipment, and material deliveries
- Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with quality standards
- Read and interpret civil plans, specifications, and project documents
- Coordinate sitework activities including grading, excavation, utilities, drainage, paving, and concrete
- Monitor project progress, manpower, productivity, and resource requirements
- Work closely with Project Managers, engineers, inspectors, subcontractors, and clients
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, safety, and site conditions
- Coordinate construction sequencing, scheduling, logistics, and daily field activities
- Identify and resolve field issues that could impact project schedule or budget
- Maintain daily reports, documentation, and project records
- Ensure work is performed in accordance with OSHA and company safety requirements
- Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, vendors, clients, and project stakeholders
What They're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience as a Civil Superintendent
- Strong background in civil construction, site development, or heavy civil projects
- Experience with grading, excavation, underground utilities, storm drainage, paving, and/or concrete
- Strong understanding of civil construction means and methods
- Ability to read and interpret civil plans and specifications
- Proven experience managing subcontractors, crews, equipment, and field operations
- Strong understanding of construction scheduling, sequencing, and site logistics
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- OSHA certification and relevant safety training preferred
- Experience within the Atlanta/Georgia market is highly desirable
