Job summary

Qualus is seeking a Civil Structural Engineering Manager to build and lead a technical team, influence strategy, and deliver lasting impact. The role combines engineering supervision with business development and client management.

Based in Boise, ID or other listed offices, you will mentor engineers, set priorities, and ensure cost, quality, and schedule targets are met. You will collaborate with the Engineering Director and cross-functional leaders to drive growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; ABET accreditation preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of management experience in the energy sector.
• PE license preferred; experience in transmission, distribution, and generating stations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select, train, coach, and discipline staff; manage performance and scheduling.
• Provide technical supervision and ensure engineering processes follow QA/QC.
• Develop relationships with senior engineers, managers, and executives with clients.
• Coordinate cross-office work and ensure scope, budgets, and safety requirements.
• Attend kickoff meetings to discuss work scope and project specifications.
