Job summary

Valmont Industries seeks a motivated Civil/Structural Engineering Intern to join the Global Utility Division in Bellville, TX. You will work with the Concrete Design Engineering team on meaningful projects, gaining hands-on experience and exposure to design, analysis, and manufacturing considerations.

Incoming juniors/seniors pursuing Civil/Structural/Mechanical engineering will contribute to ongoing projects, with mentorship from senior engineers and opportunities for growth and possible

Qualifications

• Rising junior or senior pursuing a Civil, Structural, or Mechanical engineering degree from ABET-accredited college or university; Civil/Structural preferred.
• Familiar with CAD applications and converting drawings to 3D models.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate and recommend changes in design criteria and analysis methods.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Procurement, Service, QA and Engineering to learn design troubleshooting.
• Consider manufacturability and design constraints in the final product.
