Job summary

Mitsubishi Power Americas is seeking a motivated Civil & Structural Engineering Intern to support design and execution of real‑world projects. You will collaborate with experienced engineers and staff to ensure on‑time, within‑budget delivery while complying with applicable codes and standards.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred.
• Familiarity with ASCE 7, AISC 360, and ACI 318 preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio, Acrobat Writer, Excel).
• Strong communication, organizational, and critical‑thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and structural analysis of steel structures and concrete foundations.
• Prepare calculations, drawings, and reports under the guidance of structural engineers.
• Prepare and review engineering technical requirements to support the project proposal and bid strategy.
• Review customer specifications and prepare technical clarifications and deviations.
• Prepare and review budgets, bids, technical requirements, and commercial requirements.
• Plan and review deliverable schedules, including project documentation and equipment.
• Interface with internal and external teams to ensure accurate design interface information.
