Job summary

Shine BrightX LLC in the United States is seeking a civil engineering intern to support the design team. You will perform aspects of civil/structural design under supervision and assist with larger projects.

You should be enrolled in a Civil Engineering bachelor’s or master’s program, have CAD basics (AutoCAD or MicroStation), and be proficient with Microsoft Office. The role offers health insurance benefits and 401(k) matching.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a Bachelor or Master of Science Degree Program in Civil Engineering; structural coursework preferred for structural internships or co-ops.
• Strong CAD proficiency (AutoCAD, MicroStation) and MS Office skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform civil/structural design tasks under supervision.
• Assist in the design of larger civil/structural projects.
• Utilize department design and drafting standards.
• Develop conceptual layouts and cost studies for efficient engineering solutions.
• Produce estimate-level preliminary designs and material take-offs.
• Assist with detailed design calculations and sketches for construction materials.
• Support drafting with routine layout and detailing resolutions.
• Assist with filing, print scanning, copying, and other department tasks.
