UEC in Tennessee is seeking a civil/structural engineering intern to perform design tasks under supervision, assist in larger projects, and help develop cost studies. The role requires enrollment in a Civil Engineering program with structural coursework, basic CAD skills (AutoCAD or MicroStation), and proficiency with Word, Excel, and Outlook.

You'll work with the drafting group to ensure standards, prepare preliminary designs and material take-offs, and participate in files, scans, and general

Competenze

• Enrolled in a Civil Engineering Bachelor or Master program.
• Structural coursework preferred for internships or co-ops.
• Basic knowledge of CAD software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, or both.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to sit, stand, or walk for long periods.

• Perform civil/structural design assignments under supervision.
• Assist in designing larger and more complex civil/structural projects.
• Utilize department design and drafting standards.
• Help develop conceptual layouts and cost studies for efficient engineering solutions.
• Produce estimate-level preliminary designs and material take-offs.
