Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Structural Engineering Intern to join our team. You’ll work with a dynamic group of engineers on a diverse portfolio of public, federal, and industrial projects and will begin by learning CDM Smith CAD Standards.

You will perform tasks such as CAD design, data updates, Excel macro work, structural cataloging, field inspections, and shop drawing reviews as you grow in your role.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled and pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
• Will learn and apply CDM Smith CAD Standards.
• Experience with CAD/Drafting tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• CADD Design Project; will be trained to learn CDM Smith CAD Standards.
• Web searches and product data updates.
• Excel spreadsheet development (macro routines, repetitious calcs).
• Structural library cataloging.
• Field inspection work.
• Shop Drawing reviews.
