Amentum Space Exploration Division in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Civil/Structural Engineer to develop designs for non-flight hardware and support MSFC programs. You will work with large assemblies, perform FEM analyses, and coordinate with NASA customers on complex facility projects.

The role requires a BS in Engineering with 5 years of civil-structural experience; FE exam is desirable, US citizenship and STAR ID are required. Strong CAD/analysis tools proficiency is essential.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Engineering from an accredited school.
• Five (5) years of job-related civil engineering experience with emphasis on civil-structural design and analysis.
• FE exam completion is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with codes, procedures and standards within the discipline.
• Develop structural designs for products and systems including steel framing and foundations.
• Perform complete structural analysis including FEM for varying load conditions.
• Coordinate with NASA project customers across organizations to ensure mission success.
• Prepare reports and submittals per IBC, ASCE 7, AISC, and ACI.
