Job summary

Zipline is seeking a Civil/Structural Engineer Intern for the Ground Systems Deployment team, based at our South San Francisco HQ. You will support site infrastructure rollout across multiple metros and contribute to standards for charging sites and ground-system hardware.

You will collaborate with Real Estate & Development, Systems Engineering and Tower Engineering to ensure compliance with municipal codes, permitting and Zipline’s engineering requirements.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled and have completed at least the second year of an undergraduate Civil or Structural Engineering program.
• Familiar with drafting software and structural design concepts.
• Strong communication and problem solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with civil and structural design of new Zipline sites, including charging infrastructure and foundations.
• Perform structural calculations and support drawings and design documentation for permitting and construction.
• Help develop reusable design standards for charging sites and ground-system hardware.
