Job summary

SPEC Consulting, LLC in Albany, NY is seeking a civil/structural engineer with 0-5 years of experience to join our expanding team. You will assist in developing technical deliverables for industrial structures such as towers, pipe supports, tanks, and foundations.

The role includes design concept, criteria, code interpretations, permitting, structural modeling, calculations, and coordination with local, state, and federal agencies, with travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• BS or higher in Civil/Structural Engineering and ability to work independently.
• Experience with industrial petrochemical or plant facilities is a plus.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
• Familiarity with structural and civil software tools listed above.

Responsibilities

• Develop technical deliverables for industrial structures such as towers, pipe supports, and equipment skids.
• Contribute to overall structural design including criteria, code interpretations, and calculations.
• Assist in site grading, containment design, and permit deliverables.
• Coordinate with local, state, and federal agencies; travel <10%.
