Job summary

Hargrove Engineers & Constructors seeks a civil/structural engineer to design projects at an industrial facility in New Johnsonville, TN. Under general supervision, you will develop conceptual layouts, perform design calculations, and prepare drawings for procurement and construction.

Ideal candidates hold a civil engineering degree with 3+ years of relevant experience, and may possess PE licensure. Strong communication and CAD/analysis tool skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
• Professional Engineering registration is highly preferred.
• 3+ years of relevant industrial civil/structural experience.
• Knowledge of IBC and ASCE/AISC/ACI standards.
• Experience with CAD software AutoCAD or Microstation.
• Proficient in civil/structural analysis software.
• Strong verbal and written communication; able to lead teams.

Responsibilities

• Design civil/structural systems under general supervision for projects.
• Develop conceptual layouts and cost studies for efficient solutions.
• Produce preliminary designs and material take-offs for estimates.
• Prepare detailed design calculations and construction drawings.
• Review vendor drawings for civil/structural input and conformance.
• Lead small to large teams coordinating scope, schedule, and budget.
