Job summary
Blue Signal Search seeks a Civil Stormwater Engineer to deliver drainage, floodplain, and land development projects across the greater Phoenix area. You will lead water-management efforts, applying advanced technical expertise to develop field-ready approaches for complex site needs and FEMA-related work.

Qualifications
- Minimum of four years of professional experience in water resources and flood management for complex land development.
- Active Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required; PE credentials are a plus.
- Experience with FEMA regulatory requirements (CLOMR/LOMR) preferred.
- Proficiency with HEC-1/HEC-HMS, HEC-2/HEC-RAS, and FLO-2D required.
- Familiarity with geospatial mapping and Autodesk Civil3D.
Responsibilities
- Develop technical drainage solutions for site and infrastructure projects across the Phoenix market.
- Design and assess stormwater management strategies addressing storage, flow control, and channel stability.
- Support planning studies, provide preliminary cost information for improvements.
- Prepare calculations, reports, exhibits, and floodplain documentation.
- Support stormwater permitting and regulatory compliance efforts.
- Leverage GIS and Civil3D for basin assessments and design documentation.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to move projects from analysis to design.
