Job summary

Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. in Greenville, SC seeks a Principal to lead and grow our Civil/Site practice across the Carolinas.

You will deliver high-quality land development projects, develop client relationships, and expand opportunities with commercial, institutional, and energy clients. You will oversee project execution, mentor engineers, review designs, and guide proposals from concept through regulatory review and construction.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years of experience in land development and civil engineering.
• Proven ability to originate opportunities, develop proposals, and convert client relationships into contracted work.
• Established professional network in Upstate South Carolina and the Carolinas.

Responsibilities

• Lead business development for the Greenville Civil/Site practice and grow client relationships.
• Lead project teams, oversee execution, and ensure scope, schedule, and budget adherence.
• Review designs, provide QA/QC, and mentor junior engineers.
• Coordinate with clients, subconsultants, and regulatory agencies through all phases.
• Collaborate across offices to pursue large multidisciplinary opportunities.
• Develop strategic client growth plans and negotiate contracts.
