Job summary

Alfred Benesch & Company is seeking a Civil/Site Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 in Glastonbury, CT. You will gain hands-on experience supporting planning, design, and development of civil projects alongside seasoned engineers and project managers.

You will contribute to site investigations, drafting, data analysis, and project documentation, while assisting with AutoCAD and Civil 3D-based drawing preparation.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and Civil 3D is preferred but not required
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Previous internship, co-op, or field experience is a plus, but not required
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
• Interest in civil/site engineering, land development, infrastructure, and the built environment

Responsibilities

• Support planning, design, and development of civil engineering projects.
• Assist with site investigations, drafting, data analysis, and project documentation.
• Prepare and update technical drawings with AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Participate in site visits and assist feasibility studies and permitting research.
