We are seeking an experienced Civil/Site Division Manager, P.E. to lead a growing Site/Civil Engineering team and oversee a diverse portfolio of private and public land development projects. This leadership position offers the opportunity to manage multidisciplinary project teams, strengthen client relationships, drive business development efforts, and provide technical oversight on complex site development projects.
The ideal candidate will be a licensed Professional Engineer in Florida with strong leadership capabilities, site development expertise, and a proven track record of successfully managing projects, staff, and client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
- Manage and mentor a team of engineers, designers, and technical staff.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
- Provide quality control and technical review of plans, reports, calculations, and project deliverables.
- Support staff development through training, mentorship, and performance guidance.
Client Relations & Business Development
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
- Serve as a primary point of contact throughout project lifecycles.
- Prepare project proposals, fee estimates, and budgets.
- Assist with RFQ/RFP responses and business development initiatives.
- Represent the organization at client meetings, municipal presentations, and industry events.
Project Management
- Manage all aspects of site development projects, including scope, schedule, budget, and staffing.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary design efforts to meet project objectives and client expectations.
- Prepare and review engineering plans, grading designs, permit applications, and technical reports.
- Coordinate with municipalities, regulatory agencies, and permitting authorities throughout project execution.
Site Development & Stormwater Design
- Lead site planning and development projects, including grading, drainage, utility coordination, and permitting.
- Perform and oversee stormwater management design and analysis.
- Conduct Hydrologic and Hydraulic (H&H) modeling and erosion and sediment control planning.
- Coordinate permitting efforts with local, state, and regional regulatory agencies.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and engineering standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in the State of Florida.
- Demonstrated experience managing engineering staff and client relationships.
- Strong project management and leadership experience.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Experience with engineering design and project management software.
- Strong background in stormwater management design and H&H modeling.
- Experience utilizing ICPR or similar stormwater modeling software.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and Adobe Acrobat.
- Thorough understanding of land development, permitting, and regulatory processes.
- Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on project execution.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams.
