Job summary

Benesch is seeking a Civil Site Intern to gain hands-on experience in planning, design, and construction of civil engineering projects. You will support site inspections, technical drafting, data analysis, and project design alongside experienced engineers.

Based in one of our Nebraska offices (Bellevue, Grand Island, Omaha, or Lincoln), the internship offers field visits, mentorship, and exposure to stormwater systems, site layouts, and regulatory compliance while you study in civil engineering.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and Civil 3D (preferred but not required).
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
• Previous internship or field experience is a plus, but not required.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with site inspections, technical drafting, data analysis, and project design.
• Support engineers in designing stormwater management systems and site layouts.
• Prepare and update technical drawings with AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Compile and analyze data to guide project development and maintain documentation.
