Position Description

A & M is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead environmental projects. Responsibilities include:

• Leading project teams
• Proposal development (technical writing, cost estimating, meetings, scheduling)
• Project planning and execution
• Budgeting and reporting
• Developing planning documents
• Effective communication with clients, regulators, and team members
• Ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget

This position is remote, with periodic travel (<25%).

Responsibilities/Duties

The successful candidate will:

• Evaluate projects financially and technically for private and government clients
• Build confidence through effective communication
• Serve as Subject Matter Expert in remediation and construction
• Manage project activities and subcontractors
• Lead meetings and coordinate with stakeholders
• Procure materials and equipment
• Identify and mitigate project risks
• Coordinate with partners/subcontractors
• Forecast staffing and equipment needs
• Monitor project risks and implement mitigation
• Participate in reviews with senior management
• Address project issues and conduct site visits

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

• At least 6 years of project management experience in environmental remediation
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
• Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, and PowerPoint
• Experience in technical writing and scheduling
• Understanding of environmental regulations and permit processes
• BA/BS in related field; MA/MS may reduce experience requirements
• Current OSHA 40-hr. HAZWOPER and Supervisor Training
• Experience with federal contracts (USACE, EPA, Air Force)

Additional Skills (not required)

• Residential or mine waste remediation experience
• PMP certification
• Experience with USACE safety and quality systems
