Job summary

Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) seeks a Manager, Civil Rights Compliance to lead and enhance the authority's equal opportunity and civil rights programs. You will oversee policy development, compliance monitoring, and staff training across departments to ensure adherence to federal requirements.

Reporting to the Director of EEO, this role analyzes legislation, coordinates with internal teams and external agencies, and presents findings to management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Public Administration.
• Eight years of progressively responsible managerial experience in civil rights programs.
• Knowledge of Title VI and Title VII and related regulations.
• Experience coordinating with multiple departments and external agencies.

Responsibilities

• Investigates and monitors WMATA's equal opportunity and civil rights programs.
• Provides guidance and training to operational departments on compliance.
• Develops and implements affirmative action and EEO initiatives.
• Analyzes legislation affecting equal opportunity and civil rights compliance.
• Represents WMATA with governmental and community stakeholders.
