Claremont McKenna College seeks a Civil Rights Manager/CARE Center Administrator to join the Office of Civil Rights and CARE Center. You report to the VP and Chief Civil Rights Officer and contribute to dialogue, policy editing, and program development.

The role includes managing the CARE Center space, building partnerships, and ensuring confidential handling of sensitive matters while supporting Title IX and civil rights initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in English or Literature preferred.
• Demonstrated capacity for editing and significant writing experience.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
• Commitment to constructive dialogue and ability to communicate across difference.
• Familiarity with Maxient and Workday desired.
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills; able to work independently.
• Ability to manage projects and meet deadlines.

Responsabilités

• Facilitate dialogue around communication across difference and increase community engagement.
• Serve as content contributor and editor of the College’s Civil Rights Policy.
• Develop and maintain the CARE Center design and function.
• Implement collaborative partnerships across campus.
• Create design content for publications and communications.
• Serve as a member of the CARE Center leadership team.
• Provide guidance, leadership, and mentorship and develop programming for student development.
• Assist with case management and records keeping on confidential matters.
• Support Accessibility Services with program development and student engagement.
• Administer information on accommodation processes and assist with implementation.
• Support Title IX and other Civil Rights programming and policy matters.
