Join to apply for the Civil Quality Manager role at Strata Clean Energy.

This leadership position is responsible for establishing and executing Project Quality Plans, personnel development, training, issue resolution, and reporting of Civil Quality issues and Program Metrics. The role oversees quality assurance activities of Construction Materials Testing (CMT) -QA/QC engineering firms to ensure compliance with Strata’s standards. The candidate will coordinate testing needs, analyze results, and address technical problems, interacting with Strata Self Perform Teams and Subcontractors regarding Civil Construction Quality plans and corrective actions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Serve as Solar Civil Construction Subject Matter Expert (SME).
• Oversee Civil Quality Leads, Technicians, and Temp labor across multiple projects.
• Ensure development and review of Inspection Test Points (ITPs) with relevant teams and subcontractors.
• Maintain and update ITPs throughout project duration.
• Oversee civil quality inspections and documentation, ensuring timely completion.
• Communicate quality issues promptly to Senior Quality Manager.
• Conduct weekly project walk-downs with Quality Leads.
• Assist in training CSP QC or Subcontractor QC personnel on ITPs and inspection standards.
• Maintain accurate daily quality reports and project documentation.
• Collaborate with construction, engineering, and logistics teams on quality and material issues.
• Review and approve Non-Conformance and Corrective Action Reports.
• Ensure proper documentation and report uploads into relevant platforms.
• Facilitate communication among project teams and management.
• Audit documentation and provide coverage as needed.
• Develop, implement, and facilitate FQCP and staffing plans.
• Participate in interviews, reviews, and team management activities.
• Manage project quality budget and report on quality metrics.
• Ensure compliance with inspection and testing requirements.
• Investigate NCRs/CARs, verify corrections, and facilitate training.
• Coordinate with project teams on QC and testing requirements.
• Assist in safety and quality training sessions.
• Hold daily meetings to communicate workflows and issues.
• Review contracts for quality scope and requirements.
• Prepare and manage quality documentation, reports, and procedures.
• Maintain inspection tools, equipment, and tooling calibration certifications.
• Ensure proper documentation retention and communication channels.
• Provide project updates to senior management and support training development.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Manage multi-project quality staff, review hours, PTO, and sick leave requests, and oversee onsite and field services.

Education and Work Experience Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of verifiable Quality Management/Lead experience or a 4-year degree in construction or related field.
• OSHA 30 certification.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and current technology practices.
• Understanding of OSHA safety procedures and civil construction drawings.
• Ability to travel and work flexible hours, including weekends.
• Proficiency in FieldView Reporting Software.
• Reliable cellular device and passing drug screenings.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

Work is split evenly between field and office environments, requiring outdoor work in all weather conditions, travel, and physical activities including lifting up to 50 pounds. PPE is mandatory. Must comply with safety standards.
