Job summary

Redmont Talent Partners is partnering with a Birmingham, AL-based construction/development firm to hire a Civil Project Manager who will lead heavy civil projects from preconstruction through closeout, with a focus on underground utilities and full-site development.

You will oversee project planning, financial performance, scheduling, documentation, client coordination, and field collaboration with Superintendents to resolve constructability issues and ensure project safety and quality

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of civil project management delivering successful projects.
• Experience with underground utilities and site development.
• Strong knowledge of plans, schedules, cost controls, billing, and closeout.
• Proven leadership, organization, and client-facing skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office and project software; willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases from preconstruction through closeout.
• Develop and maintain schedules, budgets, and forecasts.
• Coordinate field teams, subcontractors, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Review plans, resolve constructability issues, and manage RFIs and submittals.
• Lead procurement, bid solicitation, and change order processes.
• Ensure accurate owner billing and subcontractor payments.
• Mentor junior staff and promote consistent PM practices.
• Maintain detailed project documentation and client relationships.
