Job summary

Timberline Construction Group is seeking a Civil Project Manager in Birmingham, AL to lead heavy civil projects from preconstruction through closeout, focusing on underground utilities and full-site development.

You will manage schedules, budgets, documentation, client coordination, and risk, working closely with field teams to ensure safety, quality, and successful delivery on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of civil project management experience with responsibility for delivery, financials, and team coordination.
• Experience with underground utilities and site development (water, sewer, drainage, etc.).
• Strong understanding of plans, specs, schedules, cost controls, billing, and closeout processes.
• Leadership, organization, problem solving, written communication, and client-facing skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project).
• Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of assigned civil projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Develop and maintain schedules, budgets, cost projections, and forecasts.
• Coordinate Superintendents, field crews, subcontractors, vendors, owners, engineers, inspectors, and stakeholders.
• Review plans to identify constructability issues and guide resolutions.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, owner/subcontractor billings, reports.
