Job summary

Timberline Construction Group in Birmingham, AL seeks a Civil Project Manager to lead heavy civil projects focused on underground utilities and full-site development. You will oversee planning, scheduling, budgeting, documentation, and client coordination to ensure safe, quality delivery from preconstruction to closeout.

The role requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with 5+ years of civil PM experience and travel to project sites as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of civil project management experience delivering complex projects.
• Underground utilities and site development experience (water, sewer, drainage).
• Strong knowledge of plans, schedules, cost controls, billing and closeout processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook and Project.
• Willingness to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Develop and maintain schedules, budgets, and forecasts.
• Coordinate with field teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
• Review plans and resolve constructability issues.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, changes, and owner billings.
• Maintain project documentation and reporting to leadership.
• Mentor junior staff and foster best practices.
