Job summary

Bowman is seeking a Civil Project Manager for our Manassas, VA team. You will lead complex civil projects from scope through design, bidding, and construction, directing technical teams, managing budgets, and coordinating with clients to ensure timely, on-budget delivery.

We require a PE and 8+ years of civil engineering experience, strong AutoCAD Civil 3D and hydrology skills, and a collaborative mindset. This is a hybrid role with a competitive package and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related discipline.
• Registered Professional Engineer strongly preferred.
• 8+ years civil engineering experience including at least 3 years in assistant project management.
• Land development experience including residential and commercial.
• Thorough understanding of municipal codes and regulations.
• Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and related software.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with Storm Drain Modeling, Open Channel & Detention Basin Modeling, and HEC-RAS.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction; manage people and processes for effective execution.
• Assist with marketing Bowman capabilities to establish new clients and deepen existing relationships.
• Coordinate with internal departments to meet project requirements and drive profitability.
• Develop projects: finalize scope, prepare bids, budgets and cost estimates.
• Manage day-to-day project activities across multiple projects to meet time and budget milestones.
• Review changes, ensure projects stay within budget, and monitor work-in-process and billings.
• Maintain strong client relationships and coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and design teams.
