Job summary

Thomas & Hutton in Orlando is seeking a senior civil engineer to lead land-development and infrastructure design, coordinating with clients and multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects.

You will own project delivery, perform site design for water, sewer, and drainage, and prepare calculations, grading plans, and construction documents. PE licensure and 5+ years of civil design experience are required; Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering (B.S. or M.S.).
• PE license required.
• 5+ years of civil engineering design experience.
• Experience with stormwater hydraulics and hydrology.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Strong communication and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform civil site design for land development including water, sewer, and storm drainage.
• Prepare calculations, grading plans, drainage reports, and construction documents.
• Lead permitting and coordinate with agencies.
• Develop technical specs and bid documents.
• Manage tasks to meet scope, schedule, and quality goals.
• Coordinate with clients and multidisciplinary teams during delivery.
• Conduct construction administration and site visits.
• Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to model and refine designs.
