Job summary

JDH Infrastructure Group in Plainfield, IN, seeks a Project Manager – Estimator for civil construction. You will estimate from prints, plan and coordinate projects, manage subs and field crews, and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery with safety and quality.

You will work with clients and internal teams, develop detailed work plans and schedules, track costs, and handle change orders. A Bachelor’s degree and civil experience, including underground utilities, are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering plans, blueprints, and technical documents.
• Strong background in civil construction and site development.
• Proven experience in underground utilities is required.
• Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.
• Committed to enforcing and upholding safety standards.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Attend pre-bid meetings and gather requirements.
• Estimate project costs based on drawings, specs, and documentation.
• Develop detailed work plans, schedules, and resource allocations.
• Coordinate with Construction Managers and Site Supervisors.
• Ensure project documentation, change orders, and invoicing are accurate.
• Monitor progress, costs, and safety compliance.
• Lead project closeout and post-project evaluations.
• Maintain proactive communication with clients and internal teams.
