Qualifications

  • Experience on Caltrans and/or FHWA oversight projects.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a Project Manager on urban and rural highway/roadway projects.
  • Coordinate major projects through design completion, demonstrating creativity, foresight, and technical judgment.
  • Assure that engineering services meet professional standards, client requirements, budget control/scheduling, cost engineering and quality control.
  • Interact with clients and participate in technical project design meetings.
  • Provide leadership to the design team, including training and supervising junior staff.

This company’s Traffic and Transportation Team develops transportation solutions for many of the region’s cities and counties. The Team primarily works on roadway improvements for public agencies and private developments. These projects include the design of new roads, roadway widening, active transportation improvements, complete streets, roundabouts, parking lots, freeway interchanges, and minor drainage facilities. Project construction costs generally range from $500,000 to $30 million. The Teams works closely with the company’s in-house planning, surveying, engineering, and construction management teams to provide a full-service experience for clients. This role also includes direct client interaction, project management responsibilities, proposal preparation, and business development.

  • Strong computer skills, including AutoCAD Civil 3D experience



  • Experience should include urban and rural roadway design, intersection design, site planning, preparation of concept alignments, geometrical layouts, and roadway drainage

  • Knowledge and understanding of Caltrans Highway Design Manual and Standards, AASHTO Highway Design Guide, California MUTCD, Greenbook / APWA standards, and other related standards
