Job summary

TWG Engineering in Mattoon, IL is seeking a Civil Project Engineer to support design and development of roadways, site layouts, utilities, and stormwater systems. Onsite role with collaboration across engineering, construction, and project management teams.

Requirements include a PE license (Illinois preferred) and at least 3 years of civil design experience, with proficiency in Open Roads Designer, HEC-RAS, and related Bentley software. Competitive salary and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required; Illinois PE preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of civil engineering or related design experience.
• Knowledge of IDOT specifications, policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Develop and modify civil design drawings and plans using Open Roads Designer and Bentley Systems software.
• Prepare engineering calculations for grading, drainage, utilities, and roadway layouts.
• Assist in design reviews and ensure compliance with local codes and project specifications.
• Create construction documents, technical specifications, and quantity takeoffs.
