Job summary

Stratus is seeking a Civil Project Engineer to support a wide range of land development and industrial projects. This role blends hands-on civil design with project management, client engagement, permitting coordination, and team leadership.

You will design and manage projects, serve as a liaison with clients and regulatory agencies, and travel for project scope across the country with a nationwide team. A ABET-accredited degree and 4–8 years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited bachelor’s in civil engineering.
• 4–8 years of engineering design and project coordination experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Experience with site planning, grading design, stormwater and permitting.

Responsibilities

• Manage civil engineering and land development projects from concept through construction.
• Coordinate project schedules, budgets, deliverables, and resources.
• Lead and be the primary client contact with municipalities and regulatory agencies.
• Develop site layouts, grading plans, and drainage analyses.
• Prepare reports, specifications, and permitting applications.
• Mentor junior engineers and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
• Ensure designs comply with codes and standards.
• Support project managers and leadership on priorities and goals.
