Job summary

Stratus is seeking a Civil Project Engineer to support land development and industrial projects, combining design work with project management, client engagement, and regulatory coordination.

You will plan, design, and manage projects while liaising with clients, agencies, contractors, and internal teams on commercial developments, mixed-use projects, energy initiatives, and infrastructure across the country, with opportunities to travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from ABET-accredited university.
• 4-8 years of experience in engineering design and project coordination.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Experience with site planning, grading design, stormwater management, utility design, erosion and sediment control, and permitting.
• Strong understanding of state and municipal approval processes and land development regulations.
• Excellent written, verbal, organizational, and client communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing civil engineering and land development projects from concept through construction.
• Coordinate project schedules, budgets, deliverables, and resource allocation.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, contractors, municipalities, and regulatory agencies.
• Support business development efforts through client relationship management and identification of new opportunities.
• Participate in project meetings, agency reviews, public presentations, and stakeholder coordination efforts.
• Lead and prepare civil engineering designs and construction documents using AutoCAD Civil 3D and related software.
• Develop site layouts, grading plans, stormwater management systems, utility plans, erosion and sediment control plans, and drainage analyses.
