Job summary

MacKay in Roseville, California is seeking a Civil Project Engineer (PE) to lead design and delivery of residential and commercial land development projects from concept through construction. You will collaborate with clients, agencies, and multidisciplinary teams to produce buildable, compliant designs and mentor junior staff.

You will contribute to project scope, budget, and schedule while supporting business development and client communications to win future work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering
• Registered PE in the state of California
• 5 years of experience in residential land development and/or road and utility design
• Experience in stormwater and sanitary sewer design, grading plans, and site development in Northern California
• Experience mentoring engineers and design technicians
• Previous experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D required

Responsibilities

• Plan, provide design guidance, and manage technical delivery of civil engineering projects, focused on Residential & Commercial Land Development
• Communicate with clients regarding current projects and collaborate with project managers and business development to win future work
• Direct and support technical staff to deliver projects
• Assist project managers to prepare and manage project scope, budget, and schedule and deliverables
• Assist with business development to cultivate strong client relationships
