Job summary

Thomas & Hutton seeks a civil engineer to lead land-development and infrastructure design across the Southeast. You will collaborate with clients and multidisciplinary teams, guiding projects from concept to permit approval and construction documentation.

Ideal candidate has 5+ years of civil design experience, PE license, and strong AutoCAD Civil 3D proficiency. On-site work, sponsorship not offered, and a competitive benefits package accompanies this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
• 5+ years of civil engineering design experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform civil site design for land development projects including water, sewer, and storm drainage infrastructure.
• Prepare engineering calculations, grading plans, drainage reports, and construction documents.
• Lead permitting efforts and coordinate with local and state regulatory agencies.
• Develop technical specifications and bid documents for construction projects.
• Manage and execute project tasks to meet scope, schedule, and quality goals.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and internal teams throughout project delivery.
• Perform construction administration activities including site visits and coordination with contractors.
• Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to model and refine designs.
