Job summary

LeoForce in Tampa, FL is seeking a Civil Project Engineer (Land Development) with mid-level experience to lead design and permitting efforts on residential and commercial developments.

You will prepare engineering plans, perform stormwater and utility design, coordinate with stakeholders, and assist with scheduling and cost estimates while ensuring compliance with local regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• EIT certification required; Florida PE license strongly preferred.
• 3–8+ years of Civil Engineering and land development experience.
• Experience designing residential, commercial, and site development projects.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and stormwater tools (ICPR/SWMM).
• GIS experience preferred; roadway design is a plus.

Job Description

Salary: $80,000 - $100,000 per year

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Prepare engineering plans, calculations, technical reports, and supporting documentation for land development projects
• Design grading, drainage, stormwater management, water quality systems, utility infrastructure, and site improvements
• Develop construction plans and design documents for residential and commercial developments
• Coordinate project activities with internal departments, outside consultants, agencies, and clients
• Participate in project design reviews, production meetings, and project planning discussions
• Assist with project requirements, scheduling, cost estimates, and implementation strategies
• Lead permitting efforts with local, state, and federal agencies
• Ensure compliance with zoning ordinances, municipal requirements, and development regulations
• Resolve field design issues during construction and provide technical support to project stakeholders

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-8+ years of Civil Engineering and Land Development experience
• Strong experience designing residential, commercial, and site development projects

• Experience performing stormwater modeling utilizing ICPR and/or SWMM
• GIS experience preferred
• Experience with single-family residential and master-planned community developments preferred
• Roadway design experience involving collector and arterial roadways is a plus
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects, coordinate stakeholders, and meet project deadlines
• Strong technical writing, communication, and problem-solving skills
