Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Civil Project Engineer for land development in Tampa, FL. PE/EIT preferred. Role focuses on residential and commercial development projects with responsibilities spanning planning, grading, drainage, and permitting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
• EIT certification required; Florida PE license strongly preferred.
• 3-8+ years of Civil Engineering and Land Development experience.
• Experience with grading, drainage, stormwater systems, and permitting.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Experience performing stormwater modeling utilizing ICPR and/or SWMM.
• GIS experience preferred.
• Experience with single-family residential and master-planned community developments preferred.
• Roadway design experience involving collector and arterial roadways is a plus.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects, coordinate stakeholders, and meet project deadlines.
• Strong technical writing, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare engineering plans, calculations, technical reports, and supporting documentation for land development projects.
• Design grading, drainage, stormwater management, water quality systems, utility infrastructure, and site improvements.
• Develop construction plans and design documents for residential and commercial developments.
• Coordinate project activities with internal departments, outside consultants, agencies, and clients.
• Participate in project design reviews, production meetings, and project planning discussions.
• Assist with project requirements, scheduling, cost estimates, and implementation strategies.
• Lead permitting efforts with local, state, and federal agencies.
• Ensure compliance with zoning ordinances, municipal requirements, and development regulations.
• Resolve field design issues during construction and provide technical support to project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
